CONFLUX TECHNOLOGY HAS BEEN APPOINTED OFFICIAL AGENT FOR EOS IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Conflux Technology will work alongside world's leading industrial 3D printing technology supplier EOS to bring additive manufacturing to the Australian and New Zealand markets

Geelong, Australia, August 30th, 2018 – Conflux Technology has become an Australian and New Zealand agent for EOS additive manufacturing (AM) solutions. Being an Australian end-to-end AM applications company with more than 20 years of combined expertise, Conflux Technology has been selected by EOS in order to have experienced personnel on the ground. EOS is the world's leading technology supplier in the field of industrial 3D printing of metals and polymers, also known as additive manufacturing.

The increased focus on the Australasian market is timely for local manufacturers, as forward-looking businesses are rapidly evolving their design and manufacturing capability to take advantage of industrial 3D printing.

A strong partnership to advance industrial production
Dr. Hans J. Langer, CEO & Chairman of the EOS GROUP, states: “We have observed an increased appetite for industrial 3D printing technology in Australia. The technology is substantially changing the way we design and manufacture parts, enabling applications that weren’t thinkable before. In Australia we currently see the biggest potential for industrial 3D printing in industries such as mining, aerospace, medical and transportation.

We at EOS choose to collaborate with Conflux Technology as they are a strong local technology partner with in-depth industrial 3D printing know-how. Together we are sustainably developing the Australian market for AM solutions.

Conflux’s strong team and IP portfolio are a showcase example of how companies can effectively use AM technology to manufacture and offer high-performance thermal and fluid applications to both the local and global markets.”

Michael Fuller, CEO & Chairman of Conflux Technology, says: “Conflux Technology was founded with the mission: Pioneering Thermal Technology. By developing applications based on powder bed AM technology we are well underway. In EOS we have partnered with the pioneer of laser-based, powder bed additive manufacturing platforms – a technically superior manufacturer and global leader.

EOS has now looked to Australia and New Zealand and seen the opportunity to further develop these markets, in collaboration with Conflux Technology. Our team are world leading experts in developing applications of AM and we require the best technologies to bring superior solutions to our customers. We will now work alongside EOS to help bring this capability to the Australian and New Zealand markets and ultimately contribute to the rollout of Industry 4.0.”

Conflux Technology is an Australian AM applications leader
Conflux Technology is an end-to-end AM applications company based in Australia. Its advanced manufacturing operations encompass the design and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) analysis of parts. Its expert team have worked with AM for over two decades and possess a deep understanding of designing for AM technology and developing geometry specific parameters for optimal production. This knowledge is combined with extensive market experience, gained at senior levels in aerospace, defence and motorsports industries.

Conflux’s Additive Manufacturing and Engineering Centre (AMEC) is located in the heart of the Geelong Innovation Precinct, south-west of Melbourne. It is now complemented by a showroom where an EOS M 290 system for additive manufacturing with metal materials is on display.

EOS M 290: Benchmark for industrial 3D printing of high-quality metal parts
The EOS M 290 allows fast, flexible and cost-effective production of metal parts directly from CAD data. The system is used in a wide range of areas, among them
the aerospace, medical, tooling, and automotive industries – in applications where individualisation, complex geometries and functional integration are key.

Conflux is using the EOS M 290 to develop cutting edge thermal and fluid applications for a range of market verticals. It enables Conflux to manufacture geometric features, repeatably, that are not possible with other AM machine solution providers, and to deliver products that are unmatched in performance and packaging.
