Geelong, Victoria: Conflux Technology is pleased to announce that Conflux will utilise the ANSYS multi-physics simulation suite of solutions exclusively in the development of next generation, additive manufactured heat exchangers. Conflux engineers integrate ANSYS simulation tools in the design process to optimise structural geometries, develop 3D surface features for heat transfer and predict additive manufacturing process parameter effects.
Conflux Technology CEO and Founder, Michael Fuller explained that “Conflux heat exchangers derive their performance from highly complex geometries that make use of the inherent freedoms afforded by Additive Manufacturing. Each of our designs are bespoke and often asymmetrical which requires the most powerful simulation tools for accurate performance prediction and design optimisation. In working with ANSYS and with local support from LEAP Australia, we have found the right engineering software partners to work closely with us to further improve our product performance and deliver superior value to our customers.”
“We’re excited to work with Conflux to provide their engineers with the right multi-physics simulation tools and help them further develop their next generation heat exchangers as their designs begin to be implemented across industries such as automotive, aerospace and defence” says Greg Horner, Managing Director, LEAP Australia.
Paul Lethbridge, senior manager, ANSYS Startup Program, explains that “ANSYS simulation software enables Conflux engineers to efficiently and cost effectively create and explore virtual prototypes of hundreds of possible designs as they strive to deliver optimal thermal efficiency in their compact, light-weight heat exchangers. ANSYS simulation allows Conflux engineers to understand design and performance trade-offs that occur when creating bespoke heat exchangers that can fit into a customer’s available space, often within tight time-to-market and budget constraints.”
